Alexa, Jake, and Adra moved to Vermont this past summer. We met in November and became close friends quickly. Whenever you see new people around the same age in rural Vermont… you make friends. They moved here on a whim because of their love for the outdoors and desire for a change, and I’m so, so glad that they did! With another daughter on the way (2 more weeks!), I was honored when they asked me to photograph their family portraits. Alexa said that she wanted snow, so we trekked out to one of my favorite places on the planet, the Chittenden reservoir. It wasn’t the warmest day in the history of Vermont, but had fun, frozen fingers and toes and all!
