Last month I photographed Rutland High School senior Myles’s senior portrait session. A few weeks before his shoot I attended a wedding as a guest (a rarity these days!) at Wilson Castle in Proctor, Vermont. Sometimes it’s hard to turn off photographer-brain. At the wedding, every which way that I looked I saw great backdrops and potential for photo opportunities. The castle owner, Denise, was at the wedding so I approached her about doing some portrait shoots on her property. She was more than gracious and allowed us to wander around the castle for Myles’s senior session. The mix of textured backdrops, foliage, and beautiful light made it the perfect spot.
