Taylor and Joey were married in Tinmouth, Vermont last month. The day started out hot and humid, and as getting ready photos were underway we watched the dark clouds roll in. They had planned to have their ceremony in a field, but after the thunder and lightning began they made the call to have the ceremony under the reception tent. 200+ people huddled in as it started pouring rain, and the ground got soaked, even under the tent! Fortunately, some forward-thinking men grabbed some plywood boards to put down on the soggy grass so that the bride and bridesmaids wouldn’t get their gowns all muddy.

The weather cleared after the ceremony and we were able to do some portraits in the gorgeous field on Taylor’s family property. During the reception Taylor and Joey received a unique, surprise wedding gift… GOATS! Her reaction was over-the-top excited, in the best way! Joey’s reaction, though a little uncertain, was pretty incredible too. Family and friends danced the night away, and the evening concluded with some fireworks!
